Hello! My name is Amy and I appreciate you taking the time to learn about my therapeutic approach to determine if we would be a good fit for each other. The therapeutic relationship is the most important aspect of therapy so getting to know one another is important.
My life experience of working in business, becoming a yoga teacher, having children, and returning to school in my later years provides me with a knowledge base that is well-rounded, authentic, and personable.
My therapeutic approach is collaborative. Curiosity is the focus, not judgment. You and I are asking questions and seeking insight and using tools together. My specialty is in depression, anxiety, OCD, trauma, life transitions and generally helping people become "unstuck" in life. I use a client-centered, attachment based lens that looks at your life holistically. I utilize many therapeutic modalities that include CBT, ACT, mindfulness, and EMDR. My goal is to be the person by your side that allows you to feel safe so that you can learn more about yourself and how to manage the curveballs that life throws at you.
I specialize in providing services to clients aged eighteen and up.
