Hi, I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have a dual BA in Behavioral Sciences and Psychology from San Jose State University and an MA in Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of San Francisco. I have a variety of experiences working in outpatient, inpatient, and community-based settings, providing telehealth/in-person mental health services to various populations, age ranges, and relationship dynamics. I enjoy working with individual clients, couples, groups, and families. I believe in creating therapeutic solid relationships using compassion, humor, and evidence-based practices to ensure that my approach is appropriate for each individual/couple/family/group.
I’m intentional about moving at the pace of the individual/couple/family/group and tailor my approach to their needs. I enjoy getting to know my clients, working toward a client’s goal, exploring new coping skills/strategies, and helping support them through any difficulties that arise.
I love food and discussing different cultural practices. I am passionate about the intuitive eating philosophy. My goal is to help people to create healthier relationships with food, mind, and body. I believe in Health at Every Size and am a huge proponent of integrating a mind-body-spirit approach to all aspects of wellness and recovery. Also, I am fluent in speaking and delivering services in Spanish.
I'm a fan of trying different foods and checking out different restaurants. My husband and I live in WA and enjoy all aspects of the Pacific Northwest. I love spending time outdoors engaging in any activity that creates movement with my body, such as kayaking, camping, running, hiking, etc. I have four dogs that I refer to as "my hijos," and I often spend time dressing them up to create funny photo shoots. I identify as Mexican and an immigrant.
Insurance
I am currently in the process of being paneled with several insurance companies. I am able to provide a superbill for
Out-of-Network coverage.
Private Pay
I am able to accept cash pay through credit, debit, or HSA cards.
